Editorial Policy
Last updated on October 30, 2026.
Purpose
This policy explains how the Drag Queen Name Generator picks its words, writes its pages, and fixes its mistakes. It applies to every page on the site.
Who is responsible
One owner runs the site and approves each page before it goes live. Drafting tools may help with early versions, but a person makes the final call. The site carries no bylines, since it relies on no guest writers or outside experts.
Rules for the word lists
Every word in the generator must pass these checks.
- It does not match the name of a known performer, public figure, or private person.
- It is not a brand, a trademarked product, or a fictional character.
- It does not target anyone's race, religion, body, disability, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
- It reads cleanly out loud and fits the style it sits in.
- Cheeky puns live in a separate list that the family friendly setting hides.
No one pays to add a word, and no sponsor shapes the lists.
How names are produced
The generator picks words at random from the list for the chosen style. It does not rank names, favor any word, or learn from you. Your style, letter, and format choices filter the lists, and nothing else does. Repeats can show up across clicks, but a single list never shows the same name twice.
Facts and numbers
Every figure on the site comes from the site itself. The word counts on the About page were counted straight from the lists. The site publishes no made-up statistics, fake reviews, or invented credentials. When a page offers an opinion, such as which style suits a character, it reads as advice and not as fact.
Pages here avoid claims about drag history, law, and business. Those topics need expert sources, so the site points readers elsewhere for them.
Independence and money
The site has no ads, paid placements, or affiliate links at this time. If that changes, I will label paid content clearly and update this page first. Money will never decide which names appear.
Updates and review
I review pages whenever the word lists change, and I aim to review every page at least once a year. The date at the top of each page shows its latest change. A factual correction gets a new date right away.
How corrections work
- Send the page address and the sentence or name in question through the contact page.
- I check the claim against the lists and this policy.
- I fix confirmed errors and update the date on the page.
- If I disagree, I reply and explain why.
Suggest a word
Readers can suggest new words through the same contact page. I add a word only if it passes the rules above. Suggestions bring no credit or payment unless we agree otherwise in writing.
